The Trust established the Asian School of Business Management as a standalone institution in 2006 to provide management education. It also established the ASBM Institute of Professional Studies to offer undergraduate courses.

Over the years, the Asian School of Business Management was recognized as a front-ranking autonomous business school for its outstanding achievements and unique, industry-linked sectoral-focused programmes.

In recognition of its outstanding decade-and-a-half journey benchmarking quality standards of some of the best business schools worldwide, the Government of Odisha conferred University Status on Asian School of Business Management through the enactment of the ASBM University, Odisha Act 2019 (Odisha Act 4 of 2019). This act was accented by the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha on 07.09.2019 and published in the Odisha Gazette Extraordinary No. 1749 dated 12.09.2019. The establishment of the University was notified by the Government of Odisha via notification No. 19914-HE-FE1B-POLICY-0013/2017/HE dated 26.09.2019 and published in the Odisha Gazette Extraordinary No. 1858 dated 26.09.2019.

ASBM University now carries forward the ASBM legacy of excellence and innovation in education and research and offers cutting-edge programmes across various fields of higher education. It is engaged in imparting futuristic and holistic education at par with international standards, aiming to prepare youth to face global competition and to contribute to shaping India as a world leader.

The University now has five functional schools, from which it has received international recognition through the accreditation of its School of Business by ACBSP, USA.
