Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak is the former Professor of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Lucknow & Mumbai. He holds a Ph.D. and D.Litt. in Organisational Behaviour, D.Sc. in Management Science, and is a Fellow of All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi. Additionally, he has completed a Certificate Programme in Stress Management from IIM Ahmedabad and in Occupational Psychology from Central Labour Institute, Govt. of India, Mumbai. He has also completed the Certified Evaluators Programme of ACBSP held in Atlanta, USA.

Prof. Pattanayak received the prestigious International Teaching Excellence Award for 2016, instituted by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programmes (ACBSP), USA, recognizing him as one of the top ten management educators worldwide, and the only recipient from India. He was appointed by the Hon’ble President of India as a member of the Courts (the highest bodies of Governance) of Central University of Rajasthan and Guru Ghasidas Central University, Chhattisgarh. Additionally, he is an elected member to the Council of Management of All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi.

Prof. Pattanayak has held numerous academic and administrative positions in a career spanning over 34 years, including Vice-Chancellor of KIIT University, Director of Indian Institute of Bank Management, Guwahati (an RBI institution), and Group HR Head of the Essar Group. He also served at the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, and the Steel Authority of India Limited.
